The Peanut Patch team attended the annual Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) in Charleston, SC over Valentine’s Day weekend, and we had a fantastic time handing out boiled peanuts in the Certified SC food tent!
For those of you who have never attended, SEWE is a three-day celebration of wildlife and nature through fine art, conservation education, sporting demonstrations, food, drink and the people who honor them all. The largest event of its kind in the U.S., SEWE receives more than 40,000 attendees each year.
The Peanut Patch booth was located in the South Carolina Department of Agriculture Certified SC food tent amid yummy cooking demonstrations and additional food and drink vendors offering samples. Amanda McNulty, host of Making it Grow, helped us hand out samples of Margaret Holmes Simple Suppers!
Everyone LOVED the Peanut Patch boiled peanut samples. We offered both Original and Cajun varieties, and people were surprised to learn that our DELICIOUS boiled peanuts come out of a can! People were also very happy to learn that our products are manufactured in South Carolina. Overall, we put a lot of smiles on peoples’ faces!
You can learn more about SEWE here. We can’t wait until next year!
