Taste of Charlotte 2015

Taste of Charlotte

We certainly did enjoy meeting and hanging out with everyone at the Taste of Charlotte outdoor food festival last weekend. We probably introduced about 30 people to the delicious taste of the South’s Favorite Snack ™ over the course of that three day festival.

We handed out well over 2,000 free cups of Boiled Peanuts, both Original and Cajun flavor. This year we actually ran out of Cajun first!

This year was the 17th Annual Taste of Charlotte Festival. The festival is a free event for the whole family, in the heart of uptown Charlotte. It covers five city blocks and is in fact Charlotte’s largest outdoor food festival. The event was held June 5th-7th from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday.

The festival is a broad mix of family entertainment, unique shopping, live music, kid’s activities, and a wide array of specialty beer and fine wine, along with more than 100 menu items for sampling from a collection of Charlotte’s best restaurants. There are also a ton of activities for kids including interactive play areas.

The event featured two live stages, over 100 booths of restaurants and sponsors.

The main stage featured local and regional bands playing live music, as well as other entertainment throughout the weekend. Food samples at the festival can be purchased with festival coins; however, our samples were FREE!

We look forward to returning next year for the Taste of Charlotte 2016. Hope to see you there!
